Swimming competitions were held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting the Tajik Radio of the Voice of Khorasan, quoting the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, the competition was held in the sports hall of Dushanbe.
Along with Tajik swimmers, athletes from Russia and Uzbekistan competed in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle and frog, backstroke and butterfly events.
Sherzod Inogamov, the Uzbek international referee of the World Wrestling Federation, was also in charge of organizing the tournament.
In these competitions, Russian athletes won the first team place by winning (13 gold, 7 silver, 5 bronze medals).
The Uzbek team also finished second with 9 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Tajik swimmers also won 1 gold, 5 silver and 13 bronze medals, finishing third in the team event.
On the sidelines of the competition, officials from the Tajik and Uzbek Swimming Federations also signed an agreement for further cooperation.
