In order to commemorate the dignitaries of the ECO region, the International conference "A Review of Abu Ali Sina (Avicenna) Thought and Knowledge" is to be held virtually by ECO Cultural Institute in cooperation with Allame Tabataba'i University on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 11 a.m. Tehran time (4:30 a.m. UTC).
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, ECO Cultural Institute is holding the specialized conference "A Review of Abu Ali Sina (Avicenna) Thought and Knowledge" to mark the birth anniversary of Abu Ali Sina as the national Doctor's Day and to recognize the scientific position of this eminent personality.
After the conference opening remarks made by H.E. Mr. Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute; H.E. Dr. Nizomiddin Zohidi, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan; and H.E. Mr. Bakhodir Abdullaev Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dr. Mohammad Reza Asadi, Professor of Allameh Tabataba'i University; Dr. Ahmad Ghani Khosrawi, Professor of Herat University, Afghanistan; Dr. Akbar Orvati Movaffagh, Professor of Abu Ali Sina University, Hamadan; Dr. Ismail Shams, Professor of Allameh Tabataba'i University; and Dr. Nouriddin Shahobiddinov, a philosopher from the Republic of Tajikistan, in their speech will discuss the life and thought of Abu Ali Sina, one of the most influential intellectuals in the history of knowledge, wisdom, and culture of the ECO civilization.
The conference focuses on the origins of Abu Ali Sina`s thoughts and philosophical foundations, his works and position in medical history and his role in science and philosophy.
