H.E. Amb. Khusrav Noziri, who has been appointed as the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) by the Council of Ministers (COM) of the ECO member countries, arrived in Tehran on Tuesday evening, August 17, 2021.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, in addition to holding the post of First Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, H.E. Amb. Khusrav Noziri has been Tajikistan`s ambassador to Egypt, South Africa, Ethiopia and Morocco.
The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was founded by Iran, Turkey and Pakistan in 1985 after the signing of the Izmir Treaty, and in 1992 the ECO expanded to include seven new members; Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
