Minister Kasapoğlu, who is in Japan as part of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, met with Minister Marukawa at the Cabinet Office building in Tokyo.
Kasapoğlu, in his statement on the press part of the bilateral meeting, drew attention to the fact that Japan hosted Tokyo 2020 at a stage where the world is going through a difficult period.
Expressing his sincere thanks to the host Japan on behalf of the Turkish team, Kasapoğlu said, “I wish you to complete the tournament in the best way you have brought so far.” said.
Describing Turkish-Japanese relations as “rooted and sincere”, Kasapoğlu said that they aim to carry this friendship to the future in a stronger way.
