International Conference "Central Asia at the Crossroad of World Civilizations" was held in Khiva on September 14-15, 2021.
The event was held in cooperation with UNESCO and at the initiative of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which was approved at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, the ECO Cultural Institute reported.
"I welcome President Mirziyoyev's initiative to hold an international conference on Central Asia in Khiva in 2021," said Adri Azula, Secretary General of UNESCO.
