"Behtarin"(The Best) produced on the theme of Nowruz, was warmly welcomed by the audience at the Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema.
The film is the story of Nowruz celebrations in Tajikistan, made by Mohsen Rahimi, an Iranian director based in Kuwait and starring the Davlat Rajabov, a Tajik artist.
At the screening of the film, Mohsen Rahimi said: "When I came to Tajikistan, I saw that all people speak poetically, and this excited me and I decided to make a film about celebrating Nowruz in this country." It was originally a short story that turned into a documentary. I love and respect Tajiks. The purpose of making the film was to acquaint the Arab world with Tajik traditions and customs.
