Sarvar Bakhti, ECI President met with Dr. Ali Ghasemi, head of Iran`s supreme council of the provinces, on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the ECO Cultural Institute.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, in this meeting, Sarvar Bakhti emphasized that the provinces of Iran are Iran`s provinces are treasure troves of culture and civilization and said: "Introducing the provinces of Iran to the peoples of the ECO region is on the agenda of this international organization."
Referring to the results of his trips to Isfahan, Kashan and Dezful, President of ECO Cultural Institute, added: "The historical and beautiful province of Mazandaran can be one of the most important tourist destinations in the ECO region."
Referring to his upcoming trip to Sari as the tourism capital of ECO in 2022 and 2023, he expressed hope that the promotion of ECO cultural tourism will strengthen peace and friendship among the peoples in this ancient civilization.
Dr. Ali Ghasemi, head of Iran`s supreme council of provinces, also expressed appreciation for the special attention of the ECI president to the provinces of Iran. He also stressed that fulfillment of cultural responsibilities is always the most difficult task and expressed hope that strengthening the common culture in the ECO region will result in strengthening the common roots of the peoples.
In conclusion, Dr. Ali Ghasemi wished a successful visit to the historical center of Mazandaran province and said: "with the close cooperation of ECO Cultural Institute I hope that Sari 2022 can turn Mazandaran into a tourism capital in the region."
