Diplomatic Nowruz Gala, Exhibiting Arts and Crafts from ECO Region
On the eve of the beginning of the new Hijri Shamsi (solar) century, the diplomatic Nowruz Festival 1401, was held in A'bgineh Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, President of ECO Cultural Institute, ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in Tehran, deputies and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the ceremony, various cultural programs were performed by different art groups, including Shahnameh narration, Zurkhaneh (traditional) sports and traditional music. In addition, a special section of Nowruz Bazaar was set up with the aim of implementing a comprehensive plan to introduce and preserve the ancient traditions of the countries celebrating Nowruz. In this section, ECO Cultural Institute and these countries exhibited their art and cultural crafts in their exclusive stalls.
The ECO Cultural Institute exhibited a collection of handicrafts from ECO member countries as well as the Institute's publications. ECI also dedicated a stall to the crafts by Afghan artisans living in Tehran prepared on the occasion of the Mab'ath of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on the theme of " Rahmatul Lil Alameen". 
During the ceremony, videos of Nowruz traditions in all ten ECO countries, including short intros of Nowruz customs in ECO member countries, along with Nowruz songs prepared by the ECO Cultural Institute, were on display which received large attention by the visitors, especially the diplomats.
The stall of the ECO Cultural Institute was visited and praised by Dr. Amir Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, and Mr. Khusrav Noziri, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization and Ambassadors and diplomatic delegations of other countries.
