NAMANGAN CITY HOSTS THE 61TH INTERNATIONAL FLOWER FESTIVAL
From May 22 to June 5, the 61st International Flower Festival will be celebrated in Namangan. For two weeks in the Park of Culture and Leisure Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur, residents of the city and tourists will enjoy the cultural program and the parade of flowers. The event will be organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Khokimiyat of Namangan region.
The Flower Festival in Namangan has been held since 1961 and is a grandiose event for every Uzbek, reflecting all the richness of available plants and flower culture.
The event will be attended by foreign florists, masters of ikebana art, landscape designers who will decorate the park of culture and recreation named after Babur, the "Writers' Alley" and the theme park "Valley of Legends"
The festival will begin with a solemn parade of flowers. Then the concert program of the folk dance ensemble “Lastochka”, the performance of the ensemble “Makom”, the show of national tightrope walkers, master classes prepared by the athletes of the region will await the guests. There will also be a competition "Followers of Kamoliddin", dedicated to the memory of the People's Artist of Uzbekistan Kamoliddin Rakhimov, and a competition of young designers "National-conscious fashion in modern clothes".
The festival is expected to contribute to the development of tourism in the region, increase the attractiveness of the Namangan region and build sustainable relationships with both local and foreign tourists.
