"Ferdowsi: the Great poet of Persian epic poetry"
The conference " Ferdowsi: the Great poet of Persian epic poetry " was held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, by the Cultural Center the Islamic Republic of Iran in Quetta, in collaboration with the ECO Cultural Institute.
According to the ECI Public Relation, Sarvar Bakhti, the President of this international Institute, addressed the opening ceremony of the conference and said: Ferdowsi has a very high position in the field of Persian culture and language, among the most famous poets of epic poetry throughout the world. Ferdowsi's poems are heard in countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and the Caucasus region.
In a part of his speech, the head of the ECO Cultural Institute called on everyone to know the ideas and lofty ideals of this global figure and said: "So far, many translations of Shahnameh have been published all over the world and have influenced the literature of different countries." The dimensions of the Shahnameh include almost all issues affecting humanity. This magnificent literary work is a guide that reflects various human issues, such as rationalism and patriotism, and calls man to the highest human level.
Also at the event  Seyyed Hossein Taghizadeh Vaqghefi, Cultural Attaché and head of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Quetta; Dr. Shakeel Roshan, President of Al-Hamd Islamic University; Professor Sadaf Changizi, poet and writer; Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, Dr. Abdullah Vasegh Abbasi and Dr. Shah Mahmoud Shakib, professors of Persian literature from Balochistan University; Dr. Sultan Altaf Ali, researcher of Persian language; Professor Sarvar Javid, poet and writer; Dr. Abolghasem Ghavam, professor at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, and Elham Haddadi,  Pakistan desk expert at the Saadi Foundation, delivered speeches on Hakim Ferdowsi's high position and sublime thoughts.
