The exhibition of facsimile copies of masterpieces of world art is extended in Bishkek until Sept. 4, the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts reported.
Facsimile (do like this) is a reproduction of any original - a drawing, engraving, painting, sculpture - that conveys it quite accurately, with all the details. One of the largest facsimile collections was that of Nadia Léger. In 1925, she entered the studio of the famous French painter Fernand Léger as an apprentice. Later she became the wife of the master. During the years of their joint work, many facsimile copies of paintings related to classicism and post-impressionism were created. ECI reports, citing Kabar.
