Murodjon Buriboev met with Hojjatoleslam Mehdi Imanipur on Tuesday, October 18, at the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization head office in Tehran. And during the meeting, they discussed the development of joint cooperation.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, Hojjatoleslam Imanipur, expressed satisfaction with the meeting and pointed out that the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization attaches special importance to the development of relations with neighboring countries as well as the improvement of multilateral relations. He further stressed that the existing capacity for bilateral cooperation is far beyond what has been achieved so far.
According to Hojjatoleslam Imanipur, the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization will strongly welcome the scientific and cultural meetings and the visits by the officials of the ECO member countries, serious work needs to be done to develop multilateral cooperation and it is of special value for the organization to strengthen the cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and international organizations.
He further referred to the concept of unity in the statements by the Iranian Supreme Leader and said that it implies unity in protecting the interests of the Islamic Ummah. "Therefore, in order to protect common interests, we must reach a unity of opinions. This will definitely improve the status of Islamic and ECO member countries," he added.
Murodjon Buriboev, ECI president, on the other hand, referred to the successful cooperation between the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization and the ECO Cultural Institute in the past in various areas, such as holding cultural meetings covering topics regarding the ECO member countries. He called for the continuation and development of bilateral cooperation, as well. Murodjon Buriboev further appreciated the presence of the cultural advisors of the Islamic Republic of Iran in ECO member countries and the officials of the organization for their tireless efforts.
Meanwhile, he referred to the visit by the Ministers of Culture of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan to Iran and the ECO Cultural Institute as well as the holding of the Tajikistan Cultural Week in Iran and thanked the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization for the proper arrangement of these meetings.
Murodjon Buriboev also valued the cooperation of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization cooperation in organizing the Tajikistan Cultural Week in Iran. Announcing the good news of Turkey's complete accession to the ECO Cultural Institute, he finally expressed hope that more countries will join the institute in the near future as the ECO Cultural Institute can be the best place to display the culture and civilization of their countries.
