The 5th Consultation Meeting among the Heads of ECO Specialized Agencies was held virtually on October 17, 2022.
The meeting was hosted by the Economic Cooperation Organization and was attended by the heads of ECO specialized agencies, Murodjon Buriboev, the President of the ECO Cultural Institute, Akif Kireççi, president of the ECO Educational Institute, Syed Komail Tayebi, President of the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), and Huseyin Avni Bicakli, the ECO Deputy Secretary General.
Welcoming the participants at the meeting, the ECO Deputy Secretary General said that the main purpose of this forum is to create a strong network of communication among ECO Specialized Agencies in order to learn from each other's experiences.
The heads of ECO Cultural Institute, ECO Educational Institute and ECO Science Foundation discussed with their counterparts about the practical ways to improve the consultation meeting, the reliable mechanism to ensure better coordination, and the activities carried out by the relevant institutes and cooperation proposals regarding future programs.
The heads of ECO Specialized Agencies agreed to examine the common challenges that these institutes are facing in order to consider a coherent strategy to overcome them.
It was also decided to hold the 6th Consultation Meeting among the Heads of ECO Specialized Agencies on the sidelines of the upcoming 26th meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers (CoM).
