"The Night of Poems and Songs of Tajikistan and Iran" held in Tehran
Simultaneous with the Cultural Week of Tajikistan in Iran, the event of "the Night of Poems and Songs of Tajikistan and Iran" was held with the presence of Murodjon Buriboev, the president of the ECO Cultural Institute, on October 4, 2022, in Tehran.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, "The Night of Poems and Songs of Tajikistan and Iran" was held with the participation of official, cultural, artistic, and literary figures of Tajikistan and Iran in Kooshk-e Honar Guesthouse (Cultural and Tourism Complex of Abbas Abad) in Tehran.
During this gathering, Gholamali Haddad Adel, the head of the Saadi Foundation and the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, Alireza Ghazveh, head of the poetry, music, and anthem office of the Iranian national media, Morteza Amiri-Esfandaqeh, Iranian poet and consultant of Art and Cultural Organization of the Tehran Municipality, Mahmoud Ekrami, Iranian poet, as well as Tajik poets and artists – Rustam Vahhob, Ozar Salim, Surayo Hakimova, Firuz Umar, Davlat Ubaidullo, Saidqul Bilol, Abdulmu'min Sharifzoda, Davlat Nazri and Shahmansour Shahmirza read poems.
Then, Nizomiddin Zohidi, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Tehran, delivered a speech. Emphasizing that it is our duty to continue the relationships between the two nations which have a common language and culture and leave the legacy of our ancestors to future generations, he said: "This moment today can be interpreted as a good omen in the poetry, literature, and friendship of the two nations that have a common language. The relations between the two countries are at the stage of renewing memories and honoring common values."
Moreover, the Cultural Week of Tajikistan held in Iran, from October 3-8, manifested some aspects of Tajik culture, art and literature in the cities of Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz.
