From 12 to 18 December 2022, the XVI Eurasia International Film Festival was held in Almaty. As a result of this large-scale event, Uzbek director Ali Khamraev received an award "For Contribution to the Development of Cinema in Central Asia", director Kamara Kamalova was awarded a special jury prize for the film "Road to Nowhere", Director General of the Film Agency Firdavs Abdukhalikov was awarded an honorary diploma "For a great contribution in the development of the Eurasian festival movement”.
