The creation of the UNESCO club at the first international academy in the region, is a logical continuation of the interaction of Turkmenistan with the UN specialized structure for education, science and culture. In addition, Turkmenistan submitted the national nomination “Akhal-Teke horse breeding and traditions of decorating horses” for inclusion in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The UNESCO Club, which was visited on the first day of autumn by the heads of the UN and its agencies in Turkmenistan, will also draw the attention of the world community to the Aba Annaev Horse Breeding Academy itself, which is an innovative educational institution of its kind. Its structure includes the faculties of horse breeding, veterinary medicine, equestrian sports, tourism and national equestrian games, and agricultural economics. At the disposal of students and teachers - laboratories of molecular genetics, microbiology, immunology, anatomy, physiology, histology, etc.
