Murodjon Buriboev, President of ECI gave a speech at the commemoration ceremony of Master Shahriar and The Day of Persian Poetry and Literature which was held on the 18th of September, 2023, with the presence of poets, professors and researchers of the Persian language and literature, in the studio No. 1 of the Radio Martyrs building.
According to the information base of the ECO Cultural Institute, Murodjon Buriboev during his speech at this ceremony, emphasized the importance of Persian language and literature expressed: The art of poetry as a powerful tool in reflecting culture, history and customs has always been popular among people, and many identifier and unifying works of the cultured peoples of the East are written in poetic expression.
The President of ECO Cultural Institute further added: The 18th of September is an opportunity to reread the history of Persian poetry and literature and commemorate the memory of master Shahriar, one of the adroit poets of the present age, whose poetry is the common language of humanity.
In the continuation of this ceremony, dr. Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, the vice president for parliamentary affairs, dr. Seyyed Morteza Kazemi Dinan, Director of Farhang Radio Network, Ali Bakshizadeh, Deputy of the National Media Voice and some poets and writers gave speeches and read poetries.
