"Tugay Forest" entered the UNESCO World Heritage List
In the 45th meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which is ongoing in Saudi Arabia, "Tugay forests of the Bisheh Palangan protected area", located in the south of Tajikistan, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Tajik delegation headed by Bahadur Shiralizadeh, the head of the Tajik Environmental Protection Committee, is participating in the meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
"Bisheh Palangan" state nature reserve is the first state nature reserve of Tajikistan, which was established by the decision of the former Council of Commissars of the Soviet Socialist Republic on November 4, 1938, in order to preserve and maintain the unique ecosystems of Tajikistan.
