ECI and Kyrgyzstan Explore Cultural Synergies
H.E. Dr. Saad S. Khan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, and H.E. Mr. Turdakun Sydykov, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran met on November 28, 2023. Promoting cultural cooperation was the main agenda of the meeting held at Kyrgyzstan Embassy in Tehran.
 
 
Dr. Khan provided a comprehensive overview of the ECI's diverse goals. The organization's objective is to encourage cultural dialogue, protect traditions, and facilitate creative partnerships among the ten ECO countries. With dedicated determination, the ECI aims to position itself as a pivotal center for cultural programs in the area.
Expressing his keen interest in fostering stronger relations with Kyrgyzstan, the President of ECI has announced intentions of an official visit to the country. During this visit, the President will engage in high-level conversations with relevant authorities and dignitaries.
During the meeting, a proposal was introduced by the ECI President for an international military music festival. The festival will bring together military bands from different ECO member states, such as Kyrgyzstan, with the aim of promoting unity and harmony. This event is expected to create a sense of rhythm and shared experience that transcends national borders.
Dr. Khan announced the launch of a new program called the ECO Youth Award, which aims to recognize outstanding individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 for their contributions in various fields such as research, arts, culture, and sports. This award, presented annually, highlights ECI's dedication to fostering the growth of the next generation of cultural leaders. Dr. Khan also stressed the importance of promoting the ECO Youth Award and requested support from Kyrgyzstan and other member states of the ECO.
The ECI President received congratulations from the Ambassador who expressed full support for ECI's initiatives. The Ambassador also wished Dr. Khan success in his new role and welcomed the possibility of ECI collaborating with TKyrgyz authorities, ensuring smooth arrangements for future interactions.
