The "Afghanistan's night" Ceremony was held on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the ECO Cultural Institute, International conference hall.
According to the media department of the ECO Cultural Institute, in this cultural-artistic event, which was accompanied by the presence of a large number of cultural and artistic activists, H.E Saad Kahn the president of ECI considered language, art, and culture to be the very important elements for people to become familiar with the history of their ancestors.
The President of ECO Cultural Institute further stated: The ECO region is considered as one of the richest regions in the world in terms of historical and cultural diversity. Because this is the place where you can see most of the ancient civilizations. Afghanistan has a special significance not only in our region but also in the world, as a country with an extremely valuable historical and cultural background, which has given the world a lot of literature and art that is very famous today and their ideas serve as guidelines for humanity.
Dr. Seyed Askar Mousavi and master Mohammad Mahdi Mirzaei were the next speakers of this ceremony who explained the importance of the Persian language and art in the ECO region; as well as Afghan poets Mr. Kazem Kazemi, Ali Madd Rezvani, Tahmasabi Khorasani and Ehsan Badakhshani and Ms. Zahra Hosseinzadeh, Mozhgan Faramesh. and Zahra Zahedi read their beautiful poems.
Following the ceremony, Mr. Salman Ali Uruzgani's message was read by the presenter, Ms. Zainab Bayat, an Afghan poet and writer, and then the music group, led by Mr. Habib Mansouri, performed live Afghan music.
At the end of the ceremony, an exhibition containing 43 calligraphy and gilding works by renowned masters Mohammad Mehdi Mirzai, Salman Ali Uruzghani and Shakira Alami was opened to the public.
It should be noted that it is possible to visit this exhibition from 2th to 15th January 2023 at ECO Cultural Institute. Those who are interested in calligraphy and gilding can visit the diplomatic gallery of ECI from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm except Fridays and Saturdays.
