Mohammad Jafari Malek, Head of Cultural Coordination Center of Asia Cooperation Dialogue (CCC-ACD), met with His Excellency Saad S. Khan, President of ECO Cultural Institute at the ECI’s Headquarters on December 27, 2023, to discuss joint implementation of cultural and tourism programs in the ECO region.
During the meeting, the Head of CCCACD highlighted that the countries in the ECO region are also members of the Asian Cooperation for Dialogue, and that collaboration between the two organizations can lead to fruitful outcomes. The President of ECI acknowledged the importance of collaboration and expressed a warm welcome to the possibility of mutual cooperation.
The deliberations at the meeting are expected to strengthen cultural activities between the ten ECO countries and the 35 ACD member countries. It may be mentioned that eight of the ten ECO member states are also part of the Asian Cooperation for Dialogue (ACD).The collaboration aims to create new horizons for cultural strengthening and development.
