ECO Cultural Institute and Türkiye Forge Closer Ties in Pioneering Diplomatic Meeting
In a momentous diplomatic rendezvous at the Türkiye Embassy in Tehran, H.E. Dr. Saad S. Khan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, engaged in a substantive discussion with H.E. Dr. Hicabi Kırlangıç, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Islamic Republic of Iran to explore avenues for cultural collaboration. The meeting represented a shared wavelength between both sides to work towards common goals and partnership.
During the meeting, H.E. Dr. Khan highlighted the significance of cultural cooperation in establishing a strong foundation for political and economic collaboration. 
The ECI President expressed his gratitude for the membership of Türkiye in the Institute and urged Türkiye to engage with other ECO member states that have yet to join the institute, encouraging them to become full members. Additionally, H.E. Dr. Khan took the opportunity to request the Ambassador's assistance in facilitating an official visit to Türkiye, during which high-level discussions with relevant authorities and dignitaries are expected to take place.
At the meeting, while appreciating the eight century old military tradition of Mehter Military Bands of Turkiye, a remarkable proposal was presented by the ECI President for an international military music festival that would unite military bands from ECO member states, including Türkiye. The festival seeks to foster cross-border harmony and promote unity through the universal language of music. 
H.E. Dr. Khan has unveiled the ECO Youth Award, a remarkable initiative that aims to recognize and honor outstanding individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who have made significant contributions to research projects, arts, culture, sports, and more. Dr. Khan has passionately emphasized the importance of promoting this prestigious accolade to nurture and inspire the next generation, seeking support from Türkiye and other ECO member states.
Announcing an open invitation to all ECO members, including Türkiye, Dr. Khan called for proposals for hosting cultural and national events at ECI facilities. The Institute aims to provide a space for artistic expression and cultivate mutual understanding between cultures.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kırlangıç extended his warm congratulations to Dr. Khan on his appointment as the President of ECOCI. The Ambassador expressed his sincere wishes for Dr. Khan's success in this pivotal role and wholeheartedly endorsed ECOCI's initiatives. He conveyed Türkiye's unwavering support for the institute's endeavors and expressed his eagerness to facilitate seamless arrangements for future interactions between ECI and Türkiye authorities. Additionally, the Ambassador graciously acknowledged Dr. Khan's request for an official visit to Türkiye and pledged to extend his full support in arranging meetings with governmental and non-governmental cultural organizations, as well as prominent cultural personalities within the country.
