A joint exhibition of paintings by women artists of Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran is being held in Ashgabat, designed to give impetus to the deepening of the fruitful Turkmen-Iranian interstate dialogue. The venue for the opening ceremony of the show was the Museum of Fine Arts.
It should be noted that the development of multifaceted cooperation with foreign countries, including traditional Turkmen-Iranian ties in the humanitarian sphere, is one of the priorities of the foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan. This is confirmed by the joint exhibition of decorative, applied and mosaic art of Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran held in Mary velayat in December 2023. The current event is another significant milestone in the history of relations between Turkmenistan and Iran, based on centuries-old interaction and cultural and spiritual community of neighboring peoples.
According to the media department of ECOCI, The current exhibition includes a collection of classical Iranian paintings, calligraphy and other exhibits that give an idea of the multifaceted culture of the Iranian people. Unique works were also presented by Turkmen masters of brushes and canvas, folk crafts, decorative and applied arts, who demonstrated genre, style and artistic originality through their works. As part of the current campaign, a creative conference «Painting and its role in protecting society» was held.
