ECI Hosts Tri-Lateral Meeting to Promote Intercultural Exchange
On January 30, 2024, a tri-lateral meeting took place at the ECO Cultural Institute, bringing together delegations from the Tehran Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre, the Embassy of Pakistan in Iran, and the ECOCI. The event was hosted by Dr. Saad S. Khan, President, ECI, and was graced by the presence of H.E. Mr. Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistani to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ms. Farhat Jabeen Ali, Counsellor for Press, Culture, Education, and Tourism at the Pakistani Embassy, and Dr. Atusa Momeni, Director General of the Tehran ICH Centre.
The meeting was convened to discuss the feasibility of organizing an “Iran-Pakistan Cultural Night” in Tehran. The event, scheduled for early March 2024, aims to celebrate the cultural bonds between the two neighboring countries and promote sustainable development and intercultural exchange. In addition, the participants discussed strategies to strengthen collaboration between ECI and Tehran ICH Centre and decided to advance cultural cooperation among the countries of the ECO and the Tehran ICH Centre.
