In the name of God, the Almighty

I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the people and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, for the decease of Mr. Davlatmand Khol, an acclaimed Tajik virtuoso, music composer, and unique vocalist.
Maestro Khol, a unique singer and a pioneering figure in the ECO region’s music scene, has left an indelible mark on the world of music. His concerts, held numerous times across various countries, have been a testament to his extraordinary talent.
With his distinctive style, Mr. Khol breathed life into the renowned poems of Persian literature through his music, earning him immense popularity worldwide. His celebrated songs such as “Door Masho, Door Masho” (Don’t Go Away), “Shah panaham bedeh” (King Save Me), and “Amad bahare Janha” (“Spring has come to the souls, oh flower branch, dance.”
Mr. Khol’s collaboration with eminent Iranian singers and masters of Persian traditional and folk music, including Master Shajarian, Master Shahram Nazeri, and Master Gudarzi, was marked by mutual respect and admiration. His skill in traditional folk music, acknowledged by all, led to its recognition in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage list, a testament to his relentless efforts.
Mr. Khol’s name is etched in golden letters in the annals of music. His departure is a significant loss to the region’s music fraternity.
Once again, I express my heartfelt condolences for this profound loss. May his soul rest in peace.
