RTÜK Delegation Visits Iran’s Children and Youth Broadcasting Center
Tehran – 20 August 2026: A delegation from Türkiye’s Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), visiting Tehran to participate in the International Media Literacy Conference organized by the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), continued its engagements with Iran’s media and cultural institutions by visiting the Children and Youth Broadcasting Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
The delegation was headed by Ms. Feyza Gizligider, Head of RTÜK’s Strategy Development Department, and included accompanying RTÜK officials. Dr. Ahmet Akalın, Assistant Director of the ECO Cultural Institute, and Cultural Expert Elahe Sadat Mousavinejad also attended the meeting.
During the visit, Mohammad Sadegh Bateni, Head of the Children’s and Teenager’s Center of IRIB, briefed the delegation on television programmes, digital content and animation productions for children and young audiences, including the activities of Pooya TV.
The discussions focused on the role of educational and cultural media content in children’s development, as well as new approaches to producing content for younger audiences.
Ms. Gizligider also presented RTÜK’s initiatives in the field of media literacy for children and young people and introduced the RTÜK Medya ve Çocuk Dergisi. She highlighted the importance of strengthening media literacy within families and helping children engage with digital media content consciously and critically.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on children’s media, animation and media literacy, while contributing to greater understanding and cooperation between Türkiye and Iran in the field of media and cultural content for younger generations.
