Gohar Bakhshaliava said during a meeting with Iran's Cultural Attaché in Baku: "Writing hundreds of books for the Islamic Republic of Iran shows our interest in the culture and history of this nation."
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting the public relations of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication, Professor Gohar Bakhshaliava, President of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, said in a meeting with Ghorban Ali Pourmarjan, Iranian Cultural Attaché in Baku: "Growth and the development of a country will not be realized without connection with other countries."
"The western world`s culture is different from our culture and we should safeguard on our own cultural values.” he added. Hundreds of books have been written or translated about Iran at this institute, and it shows our interest in the culture and history of Iran."
Pourmarjan, Iran's Cultural Attaché in Baku, said: "The need for new books in the academy is one of the most basic needs of thinkers and researchers, and Cultural Attaches can be in close contact with the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences during the year to address some of their scientific needs.”
