Tajikistan’s Minister of Education and Science announced that a joint Tajik-Uzbek university will be established in the capital of Sughd province.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Fars News Agency in Dushanbe, Tajik Minister of Education and Science Mohammad Yusuf Imomzoda announced the establishment of a joint Tajik-Uzbek university in the city of Khujand, the capital of Sughd province.
Imomzoda said that the establishment of this joint university was initiated by the Uzbek side and said: “We studied this proposal and decided to establish a joint university between the two countries based on the Khujand State University.”
“Similar proposals are also being received from other countries, and we are looking into them” he said.
