According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Anadolu News Agency, the Turkish Fencing Federation announced that Nisanur Erbil, the country’s national athlete, won a silver medal at the Fencing World Championships of the Stars and the Youth in Cairo, Egypt.
Nisanur advanced to the semifinals by defeating her Bulgarian, French, and Egyptian rivals. The Turkish national athlete defeated her Russian rival by 15-13.
In the finale, she lost to her South Korean rival by one point (14-15) and became the runner-up in this category of world championships.
