President Ashraf Ghani left Kabul early Thursday for Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on a one-day official visit to participate in a CASA-1000 power project meeting.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Fars News Agency in Dushanbe, Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon during his official visit to Tajikistan.
During a private meeting, Emomali Rahmon addressed his Afghan counterpart, saying “welcome to your second home” and expressed satisfaction that the visit took place during Nowruz.
He stated that the relations between “Dushanbe” and “Kabul”, which have a common language, culture and civilization, is the principle of brotherhood and good neighborly relations.
