Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, met with Dr. Mohammad Khodadadi Motarjemzadeh, Head of the Faculty of Visual Arts at Tehran University of Art on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, in the meeting, Sarvar Bakhti, while welcoming Dr. Motarjemzadeh, referred to the creation of convergence and solidarity among the people of ECO countries as one of the priorities of ECI and added that the Institute has always aimed to bring the people of the ECO region together through culture and art.
While highlighting cultural commonalties between peoples in the region, Sarvar Bakhti said: “We are pleased that the University of Art and the Faculty of Visual Arts, as one of our trusted participants, cooperates us to achieve this aim.”
Regarding the Coronavirus pandemic situation, he said “artists can play a major role in this atmosphere of despair and give hope to the people.” While expressing Iran’s experiences in the field of art education as well as the expertise and knowledge of Iranian experts in the field of restoration of artistic-historical works, he noted: “We hope that Iranian professors at the University of Art can transfer their experiences and knowledge to other artists and experts in ECO region.”
Head of the Faculty of Visual Arts of the University of Art referred to the valuable regional experience of the ECO Cultural Institute in performing artistic and cultural programs and said, “Tehran University of Art is one of the oldest universities in Iran and a scientific hub in field of art which has hosted international students from different ECO countries.”
During the meeting the two sides exchanged views on the possibilities to hold joint art festivals and programs in the near future.
