European football star Hossein Zamani has joined the Afghan national team.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Bakhtar News Agency, the young star of the Netherlands - SC Telstar Club was invited to the Afghan national football team for the first time.
19-year-old Afghan player Hossein Zamani has played for AFC Ajax and Genoa Italy. He is currently playing for the Netherlands first division league, Telstar.
Anush Dastgir, the head coach of the Afghan national football team, told BNA that after reviewing his game, he invited Hossein Zamani to join the national team.
While joining the team, Zamani, called it a great honor to wear the national team jersey and said that he would work with the team to win.
The 19-year-old Afghan star has been called up to the Afghan national football team, which now consists of Afghan migrant players working in European leagues.
Afghanistan is facing tough games against Oman, Bangladesh and India to qualify for the Asian and World Cups.
