Uzbek President Receives the Ambassador of Tajikistan
On April 23, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan Imomi Sodiq Ashurboyzoda, who is completing his diplomatic mission to Uzbekistan.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Taj Week Agency, during a farewell meeting with Tajik Ambassador to Tashkent Sodiq Imomi, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the current high level of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership, achieved thanks to the political will and decisive steps of the leaders of the two fraternal countries.
Currently, cooperation covers all areas without exception and continues to develop dynamically, being filled with concrete content. The two governments are carefully preparing a new agenda for full-scale cooperation for the long term.
The President awarded Ambassador Imomi Sodiq Ashurboyzoda with the Certificate of Honor of the Republic of Uzbekistan for his great services in achieving the current high level of relations and personal contribution to the development of multifaceted cooperation.
The Ambassador expressed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the high assessment and full support of his activities in the country.
He emphasized that in the future he will make every effort to unconditionally implement the goals and objectives set to strengthen fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples.
Sodiq Imomi served as Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan from May 2016 to April 18, 2021.
