ECI President Visits Tehran University of Art
On Monday, May 24, 2021, Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, met with Dr. Seyed Hassan Soltani, the president of the University of Art.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, Sarvar Bakhti, while emphasizing the development of cultural and artistic cooperation with the University of Art, said: “ECI and the University of Art can cooperate in all fields of art.”
Referring to the commonalities that exist between the people of the ECO region, he called the relationship and cooperation with the University of Art fruitful and noted: “University of Art and related institutions in ECO countries can establish good relations in the fields of music, handicrafts and applied and visual arts, cinema and theater, and restoration of historical and cultural monuments.” 
Sarvar Bakhti also stressed: “art is the best way to get to know each other, and that the ECO Cultural Institute uses art to achieve greater regional understanding.”
Mr. Soltani, Rector of the University of Art, while welcoming the President of the ECO Cultural Institute, admired the activities carried out by ECI and said: “Wherever there is a sign of culture and art, the ECO Cultural Institute is the host.”
Referring to the provisions of the MoU, he expressed hope that the joint programs of the two institutions would be expanded in the future.
Referring to the history of the University of Art and its faculties, Mr. Soltani emphasized on the commonalities among ECO member countries for increasing empathy between nations and announced their readiness to admit international students in bachelors, masters and doctorates courses from ECO member countries. 
 “Art is the best language for introducing countries, and the University of Art is the best choice”, he added.
At the end of his speech, the Rector of the University of Art expressed his satisfaction with this visit and said: “We are confident that the joint activities and programs between the two institutions will be expanded more than before.”
In the meeting attended by Dr. Motarjemzadeh, Head of the Faculty of Visual Arts, Dr. Razeqi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Art, Shahmansour Shahmirza and Ma’soumeh Nazari, representatives of Tajikistan and Afghanistan at the ECO Cultural Institute some issues regarding the joint programs under the MoU were among the points discussed.
At the end of the meeting, President of the ECO Cultural Institute visited the exhibition of posters, paintings, photography, sculpture and conceptual artworks of the scholars of the University of Art.
