On the occasion of Persian Language Day, ECO Cultural Institute in cooperation with the Sa’adi Foundation will hold an international webinar on “Promotion of Persian Language and Literature and Commemoration of Ferdowsi in the ECO Region” on May 15, 2021.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, H.E. Mr. Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute and Dr. Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, Head of the Sa’adi Foundation and the Academy of Persian Language and Literature will make the opening remarks followed by speeches made by H.E. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and H.E. Dr. Nizomuddin Zohidi, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan.
“Academic thinkers from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan will discuss the ways to expand Persian language and Ferdowsi’s position in the ECO region,” the report says.
The meeting will focus on themes including Persian language as a tool for expanding scientific thinking, the role of Persian language in the unity of the peoples in the region, capacities of Persian language, as the language of science, ways to promote Persian language position, practical methods of teaching Persian language, the position of Shahnameh in science and literature, and the role of Shahnameh to uphold moral values in contemporary society.
