On Sunday, 23 May, 2021, Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, met with Mr. Massoud Maleki, the head of the Zurkhaneh and Wrestling Sports Federation at this international organization.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, in this meeting, while pointing to the importance of sports and its impact on relations between nations in the ECO region, Sarvar Bakhti emphasized: “Sporting events are an opportunity to allow good things happen for the nations.”
He added: “Wrestling has occupied a prominent place in the history of the region and it is a platform for presenting high human values and has a high position among the countries of the ECO region.”
Head of the Zurkhaneh and Wrestling Sports Federation, while expressing his satisfaction with the meeting with the president of the ECO Cultural Institute, said: “Sports, regardless of nationality, language, religion and political considerations, has a great impact on the convergence of nations.”
At the end, Masoud Maleki invited the President of the ECO Cultural Institute to attend and deliver a speech at the commemoration of wrestling.
