The 17th International Muslim Film Festival opened in Kazan, the capital of the Russian republic of Tatarstan.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, the 17th International Muslim Film Festival opened in Kazan, the capital of the Russian republic of Tatarstan.
While the festival ended with an award ceremony, the film “School Shave” from Turkey won two awards.
Samet Yıldız received the Best Actor award for his role in the movie.
The director of the film, Ferit Karahan, was also awarded the “Best Director” award
Turkey is participating in the festival with the films "Kovan" (hive), "Kardeşin Bekçisi" (brother's guardian) and the documentary "Acı ve Tatlı" (bittersweet).
