To mark the commemoration of Hafez, the first diplomatic Poetry Night of Hafez the messenger of peace and friendship in the world was held by the ECO Cultural Institute on Tuesday evening, October 12, 2021, with the presence of ambassadors, diplomats, cultural and artistic figures and high ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, in the ceremony led by Afshin Ala, a prominent Iranian poet, Mr. Sarvar Bakhti, president of this international organization, welcomed the participants and expressed hope that holding friendship evenings to commemorate great figures like Hafez would help to promote peace and friendship among the ECO member countries.
