The book "I Begin with You (Selection of Modern Poetry of Iran)", compiled and translated by Iranian scholar and translator, Dr. Nastaran Nosratzadegan, has been published by ECO Cultural Institute.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, the book "I Begin with You (Selection of Modern Poetry of Iran)" which is compiled and translated by Dr. Nastaran Nosratzadegan, the Iranian scholar and translator has been released in 290 pages in Persian and English by the ECO Cultural Institute. The dual-language anthology comprises a collection of poems from the 50 most influential men and women poets from Nima Yushij, the father of modern Persian poetry to date. The book aims to better introduce contemporary poets of Iran across borders.
In his introduction to the book, Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, highlighted the prominent role of language and literature in the development of relations among member countries and maintained that undoubtedly there are many influential poets who have created valuable works that have not been properly introduced to the world literature. Therefore, translation as one of the most important media plays a key role in the transmission of culture from one language to another.
It is worth mentioning that the well-known publications of the ECO Cultural Institute has so far published numerous prose and poetic works by famous writers and poets of the member countries, on various scientific and literary themes.
