As the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey ratified the Charter of the ECO Cultural Institute, Turkey will have a stronger presence in the activities of this international regional institute.
It is to be noted that Turkey is one of the countries that have already signed the charter of the ECO Cultural Institute, however, according to the rules and regulations of the Institute, ratification of its Charter in the parliaments of the member states is a precondition for full membership.
The ratified document by Turkey has been deposited with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the host government of this Institute.
