Coinciding with the death anniversary of Hamid Sabzevari, a commemoration was held in his hometown Sabzevar, where he is buried, on June 12, 2022. A group of academicians and poets attended the event.
According to ECI Public Relations, the commemoration was held in two days. On the second day, the message of Mr. Buriboev, President, ECI, was read.
Parts of the message read as follows:
“As we read his poems, we find him a prominent poet with a great poetic sense. Some fine poems of this unique poet are “Sorood-e-Dard (Song of Pain)”, “Sorood-e-Sepide”, (Song of Dawn)”, “Yad-e-Yaran (Memories of Friends)”, “Divan-e-Ash’ar”, “Sorood-e-Digar (Another Song)”, “To Asheqane Safar Kon (Travel in Love)”, “Bang-e-Jaras”, (sound of bell signaling the departure of a caravan)
In Bang-e-Azadi (The Call for Freedom)” and many more poems which will remain as a significant part of contemporary Iranian literature forever.”
It is worth mentioning that cultural personality, such as Dr. Ali Reza Ghaveh, Nasser Feyz, Dr. Ekramifar, Ms. Fariba Yousefi, Mostafa Mohaddesi Khorasani were also present at the commemoration.
