An event to mark the International celebrations of Nowruz was held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, with the participation of Iran and other countries in the region of Nowruz with the presence of the first lady of Pakistan. Ms. Samina Arif Alvi.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, the first lady of Pakistan, Ms. Samina Arif Alvi wife of the President of Pakistan as a chief guest visited the Iran pavilion and met with the Deputy Head of Mission and Cultural Counselor of Iran Embassy and appreciated Iran’s active participation in the Nowruz International Festival.
She also congratulated Nowruz to all the nations of the world who celebrate this ancient event, saying: “Nowruz is very popular among the people of Pakistan and its traditions are widely observed in the country.”
