The President of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Volkan Bozkır, has concluded his visit to Uzbekistan, which took place from 5-7 July.
The President was received in Tashkent by H.E. Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Fars news agency in Tashkent, during his visit to Tashkent, President of the General Assembly congratulated Uzbekistan on its election to the UN Human Rights Council, thanked its active participation in the 75th session of the General Assembly, and noted Uzbekistan’s initiatives regarding strengthening cooperation in Central Asia, sustainable development and promotion of tourism in the region, establishing environmental innovation and technology zones in the Aral Sea region.
Bozkir also thanked Uzbekistan commitment to multilateral efforts on the international arena, especially at the United Nations, as well as president’s support for the global and regional initiatives.
