ECI to hold International Celebration of "Iqbal-e Ishq"
In a continuation of the series of commemorations to pay tribute to the dignitaries of ECO region, ECO Cultural Institute in cooperation with the Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran and Sahar Universal Network will hold the international celebration of "Iqbal-e Ishq" on Monday, November 15, 2021.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, on the occasion of the 144th birthday anniversary of Allama Iqbal, ECO Cultural Institute will hold the international celebration of "Iqbal-e Ishq" at the Headquarters of ECO Cultural Institute at 17:00 (Tehran local time.)
At the event, Sarvar Bakhti, President, ECO Cultural Institute; Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Iran; Iqbal Salahuddin, President,  Dabistan-e-Iqbal in Lahore, Pakistan; Dr. Hossein Modares Khiabani, Governor of Sistan- Baluchestan Province; Dr. Ahmad Tamimdari, Professor, Department of Persian Literature, Allameh Tabataba'i University; Dr. Ehsan Khazaei, Iran`s Cultural Attaché in Pakistan; Prof. Ali Dashti, researcher and documentary filmmaker, will discuss the position and works of Allama Iqbal in the ECO region. In addition, Mr. Seyed Ahmad Shahriyar, Pakistani poet and Mr. Afshin Ala, Iranian poet will also read poetry.
The event is co-organized by "The Cultural Counsellorship Embassy of The Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamabad, "Iran Cultural center in Quetta", " Dabistan-e-Iqbal in Lahore", "Allameh Tabataba'i University", "Iqbal Lahori Literary Association", Iran's Book News Agency (IBNA) "and" Seda-ye Mellat Daily ". Furthermore, the book" Our Iqbal: an Analytical-Historical Bibliography of Iqbal Studies in Iran" by Dr. Hakime Dastaranji which has been published by the ECO Cultural Institute will be launched.
Dr. Muhammad Safeer, Head of the Department of Persian Language and Literature at National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad, Pakistan; Dr. Muzaffar Ali Kashmeeri, Lecturer, International Islamic University; Dr. Rabia Kayani, Professor of Persian Language and Literature from Islamabad, Pakistan, Dr. Almouth Degner, Iqbal scholar, the University of Mainz, Germany.
The commemoration to be televised by Sahar Universal Network, features performance of Balochi music and ritual dance group, led by Khosrow Azarbeig and Pakistani vocalist Abbas Habibzadeh.
