H.E. Mr. Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), met Dr. Imanipour, head of Islamic Culture and Communication Organization (ICCO) on Wednesday December 22, 2021.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, H.E. Mr. Sarvar Bakhti in this meeting, which was held at ICCO, while congratulating Dr. Imanipour on his appointment as head of ICCO, expressed hope that his comprehensive vision and international experiences would lead to further mutual cooperation.
He also described the important role of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as one of the founders and host of the ECO Cultural Institute, in the programs of this international organization, and said: "We anticipate the proposals of the Islamic Republic of Iran on improving cultural interactions in the ECO region".
"Head of ICCO also welcomed the positive views of the ECI president and said that it is a necessity to introduce Iran today among the ECO member countries", the report says.
Referring to the importance attached by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the President of the 13th government to the expansion of cultural interactions between Iran and neighboring countries he added: "One of the important priorities of the ICCO is to expand and strengthen cooperation with international and regional institutions such as ECO Cultural Institute".
