The Cultural Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran kicks off in Tajikistan on Monday, October 31, 2022, and will continue for one week.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting the "Khovar" news agency of Tajikistan, the opening ceremony of Iran Cultural Week will be held in the Opera Theatre building in the city of Dushanbe after the Ministers of Culture of the two countries meet today, on Monday, October 31. The ceremony will be participated by the two ministers as well as a number of artists and guests.
In the coming days, Iranian handicrafts will be exhibited, Shahnameh will be recited, Iranian films will be displayed and the night of poetry will be held in Tajikistan. Iranian bands "Pazh" and "Soroush Molana" will play during the event. Moreover, the Iranian traditional sports of Zurkhaneh will be performed in the Writers’ Union Building.
During the Cultural Week of Iran, the guests will visit the cities of Khujand, Bokhtar, and Kulob.
This is while Iran also hosted Tajik cultural week from October 11-17, 2022.
