Tajikistan Hosts Afghan Handicrafts Exhibition
An exhibition of Afghan handicrafts and agricultural products was held in Dushanbe.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Khavar News Agency, the products of 27 Afghan companies and handicrafts of Afghans living in Tajikistan have been displayed in 40 booths of the exhibition.
Afghan companies exhibit goods such as handicrafts, handmade carpets, pottery and copperware, traditional clothing and agricultural products.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition in Dushanbe, Afghan Ambassador Mohammad Zahir Aghbar said that an exhibition of his country’s precious and semi-precious stones will be held in the Tajik capital in the near future.
He stressed that holding such exhibitions would strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
Ambassadors and officials of a number of foreign countries living in Dushanbe, representatives of the Tajik Chamber of Commerce and Industry and private sector activists visited the Afghan Handicrafts and Agricultural Products Exhibition.
