Sarvar Bakhti, president of the ECO Cultural Institute, met with Abbas Mohammadnejad, the CEO of Iran Press International News Agency, at this international organization on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, Sarvar Bakhti, while announcing the readiness of this international organization to expand cooperation with all domestic and foreign sectors of the IRIB Radio and Television, emphasized on the alliance of the ECO media as a goal shared by both sides.
He further alluded to measures carried out by ECI such as publishing several issues of ECI bilingual newsletters which covers cultural, artistic, sports and social news of ten member countries, adding: "several issues of ECI newsletter have been published covering a large number of news from all ECO member countries with an aim to prove that media alliances is possible based on commonalities."
In conclusion, President of the ECO Cultural Institute welcomed the proposal of the Deputy Head of the IRIB World Service to form the Broadcasting Union of ECO member countries, and announced the readiness of the ECO Cultural Institute to expand constructive cooperation in this regard.
Abbas Mohammadnejad, CEO of Iran Press International News Agency, while appreciating the cultural and media views of the President of ECO Cultural Institute, presented a report on the steps taken to establish the first Broadcasting Union of ECO member countries and expressed hope that with the support of the ECI president such common goal would be realized in near future.
