The most important priorities in Mazandaran are tourism development and attracting foreign investors. In this regard, we will provide the ground for the entry of foreign economic activists to this country in line with economic dynamism. Seyed Mahmoud Hosseinipour, during the opening ceremony of the international event of ECO member countries’ tourism capital at Badeleh Hotel in Sari, said: “The presence of the ambassadors of ECO member countries in Mazandaran is an opportunity to create jobs and to develop tourism and economy in this province.”
He stated: “Tourism is one of Mazandaran's economic stimuli, and we are very happy that ECO member countries have taken a step towards the development of tourism in the region, and Mazandaran will definitely make the most of this capacity.” The high representative of the government in Mazandaran mentioned tourism as one of the important tools to create sustainable employment for the youth in Mazandaran and the people of the ECO member countries, and said: “Mazandaran has great potential in attracting foreign tourists and the high representative of the government in Mazandaran declares that our most important priority is developing tourism and attracting foreign investors. We will also provide the opportunity for foreign economic activists to come to the province in line with economic dynamism.”
Hosseinipour stated: “In addition to economic capacities, Mazandaran has rich cultural resources and hospitable people with generous morals, which hosts 20 million Iranian tourists every year. This arises from the culture of this province in attracting tourists.”
He added: “The same magnificent culture exists among ECO member countries, and through cultural commonalities, we can provide the basis for the economic development of the countries in the region.” General Governor of Mazandaran said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran, with its active and dynamic foreign policy and by the efforts of the 13th Government, attaches special importance to relations with the countries of the region, as the link between Iran and the countries of the region is inseparable.”
Hosseinipour stated: “Considering the fact that there are several ports in Mazandaran, it has a lot of capacities to attract economic activists in various industrial and agricultural areas. And we invite all the citizens of the regional countries to come to Mazandaran province and visit its God-given economic capacities closely. Mazandaran, as the tourism hub of Iran, has the capacity to be the outstanding tourism province and to have close relations with the ECO member countries.”
