At the opening ceremony of the ECO tourism capital event, Keyvan Moradian said: “It is hoped that with the wisdom of ECO members and the 13th government, this event will lead to sustainable economic development, the exploitation of eco-tourism, the improvement of culture, and familiarization with handicrafts and the noble culture of nations.”
He stated that they had come together to help the people of the member countries by introducing tourism and economic potential to realize the potential economic opportunities. He added: “We should facilitate the economic, cultural and tourism exchanges of the ECO member countries.”
The head of the Mazandaran Province Assembly of Representatives said that this event can strengthen the sustainable development of tourism and the increase in exchanges between the ECO member countries will generate income.
Emphasizing the kind and cultured people of Mazandaran were hosting ECO officials, he expressed his hope and said: “By holding this meeting, we will witness a new chapter of cultural and economic relations between Mazandaran and other countries, and it will lead to the strengthening of the economic base.”
The representative of the people of Ghaemshahr, Juybar, Savadkooh, Northern Savadkooh, and Simorgh in the 11th parliament pointed to the divine gifts, culture, mines, historical attractions, and customs of Mazandaran province and said: “The greatest travelogues of the world are from Tabaristan and they have mentioned these noble people as good.”
He said that in this event we should witness the practical action by the ECO member countries so that the cities that are introduced as the capital of tourism are properly introduced, he added: “Many handicrafts and tourism opportunities of the province are disappearing, there is hope that the formation of private museums would preserve these heritages under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts.” Moradian pointed out that the coronavirus pandemic postponed the international event of Sari 2022, the ECO tourism capital event, and requested to extend the time Sari is the ECO tourism capital until Nowruz.
